  • Everyone, try memorizing math formulas so you can write them down on scrap paper before starting the test, you can refer back to them during the test, it did help me out.

Kaj-iameir Hi, August is when I retake mines as well. I have went and played with the scoring, I found that if you study hard on both math portions and score high on the math portion you will be able to get away with failing the wk portion, the wk portion is the hardest to me, only because you never know what words you will get. Study for both math portions harder than WK and good luck!! do not retest until your ready, Im doing the same

  • Hello I also take my test in August but I'm on the 6 month mark as well and I really don't want to take it again because that means I got to wait a year and I need help with math bad any suggestions.

Kaj-iameir I've noticed that when I memorize math formulas and write them down on scrap before taking a practice test I scored a bit higher than I usually would've without it.

  • Hey do you'll know any good study tips for the math and AR

Kaj-iameir Hi Bobby, sorry I am so late. When it comes to the math portions, I say try your best to memorize the formulas and write them down on scrap before testing, so that would be the geometry formulas, knowing your negatives and positives, there is a chart for that. I have only used this method with practice exams and it did improve my score a lot, not enough to get in the AF but enough for the Army. I am at the point that whatever my score is in August will determine what branch I go to. I have watched some YouTube videos, they help out a bit for me but your learning skills may be different from mines.

I use the ASVAB teachers app on my phone, which cost about 10$ and the Khan Academy app, they both have helped me a little, but nothing has been more helpful than writing down the formulas memorized before testing and referring back to them throughout the test.

    Hope this helps!

Darryl Singleton my tutor, no shes a local algebra teacher but maybe you should ask someone to help you with it and take a lot of practice test it helps you get more confident and nothing will be a surprise.

  • Kaj-iameir - created a new group, AR AND MK

I have taken the ASVAB three times, I am currently at my six month waiting mark. I will be retesting sometime in August. After taking the ASVAB that many time it is safe to say that my main failing portions is both of the math subjects. I have struggled a little bit with WK as well...can anybody help?
